Hilton Kyiv

The Hilton Hotels, a 5 star and wonderful contemporary, attractive glass enshrouded building, this magnificent Hotel on one of the main streets in Kyiv stands out and, is a landmark for all to admire. From the moment of my arrival at the door the doorman was there welcoming me to the hotel. Then into the spacious airy bright and comfortable lobby. The lobby is impressive it’s very welcoming and comfortable for meetings with plenty of very comfortable seating. I was here at the hotel before fore the Burns Night celebrations at this hotel. I didn’t stay that time so very much looking forward to my stay.

My bags were out of the car in seconds, I was escorted to the reception. I was greeted by the friendly welcome and genuine smile of the receptionist. I was welcomed with Mr. Finn we have been expecting your arrival.

The porter or bellman took me to my corner room and showed me where everything was.

The porter did something that I have never seen before, he offered to take off the old airline baggage tag off my case, what super service.

I was delighted with my sensational bedroom on the 6th floor with what must surely one of the best scenic floor to ceiling views and almost on top of the hill.

The hotel offers 24 hour room service, on demand movies on a flat screen tv, minibar, free high speed Wi-Fi, Intelligent Room Technology- one touch room controls, Laundry and Valet Service, Morning Newspaper and Safety Deposit Box.

I went exploring to the Executive Lounge on the 7th floor has the most amazing panoramic views over one of Kyiv’s most famous streets and a view right over the railway station well worth a visit, a station of the old grand design. Opposite the hotel are the beautiful botanical gardens just right for you morning jog if so desired.

The Executive lounge has breakfast, snacks, drinks served by the attentive lounge hostess and of course special check-in for executive rooms.

There is a spa on the lobby level I did not have time this trip to utilise the facilities however, I spoke to a guest who rated the pool highly, the pool which is free of charge including the well-equipped gym and sauna.

There are good choices for dining

H bar

I have used the H bar on a previous visit, great atmosphere serving fantastic cocktails the bar has a great selection of good whiskeys and other fame alcoholic choices, H bar serves light meals with DJ musical entertainment and showing sports on the panoramic TV, Fast becoming one of the inplaces for a great evening out for locals as well as residents of the hotel.

Park Kitchen Restaurant with an open plan kitchen where you can see your meals prepared. An exceptional restaurant presided over by International Executive Chef of repute Shota Goderdzishvili the serve breakfast, lunch and dinner until 2200 seven days a week.

I had the pleasure of having breakfast before leaving for the airport with the brilliant, friendly Chef Shota, I found that the service lived up to the reputation created by Chef Shota .

The Perfectly Cooked English Breakfast

great restaurant as befits a hotel of this quality. A great wine list and a fabulous diverse menu to choose whatever your taste buds fancy. I also took a peek at the Sunday brunch Menu and really felt like staying an extra day to try the extensive choice of dishes offered including fish, shell fish, bbq meats, sushi, with Prosecco as much as you wish to drink all included in the reasonable prices.

Lobby bar and H Terrace look very attractive however that is for my next visit.

Concierge, Guest relations and Front Desk.I found that service in this airy light and beautiful Lobby area had exceeded my expectations

Chief Concierge Oleksii Nikitan was a source of information, with good advice, from arranging transportation to airport and to places of interest, what sporting events are playing and the venues, tickets for shows, museum tours and general tours of the beautiful City of Kiev, nothing was too much trouble. I had the same courteous service and smile at the guest service desk, the front desk always anxious to please.

Every one that I spoke to was able to converse very fluently in English which is a great advantage for all English speaking travellers.

My impression of the Hilton Kiev is one that I would recommend to anyone.

The General Manager Mr Hassan Ragab is a fully hands on GM and his attitude of service with a smile is continued throughout the staff at this hotel, a real pleasure to be here.
