LEONARDO HOTEL LONDON-LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT

The Leonardo Hotel Group has opened its first hotel in UK at London’s Heathrow Airport. It is in a super location right opposite to the entrance to Terminals 1-2, and 3 on Bath Road.

On arrival to London Heathrow simply go to the bus pickup sign and catch the HOPPA bus to Leonardo Hotel and for £5 sterling the bus will deliver you and your baggage to the door of the hotel. There is also a public bus service from terminals 1-2-3 stopping at Sipson Way / Blunts Avenue 2 minutes’ walk from hotel.

I have had the great pleasure of staying at the very comfortable hotel on two occasions.

The newly refurbished reception to the hotel is warm and welcoming as is the theme of Leonardo Hotels, I got the feeling that I would be comfortable here.

I was pleasantly surprised by the staff on reception Amanda was the young lady that checked me in on both occasions. Amanda is extremely anxious to attend to your needs in a most smiling and professional manner, the second time I checked Amanda remembered my name.

Check-in was smooth, efficient and I was quickly in the lift on my way to my room.

I had an executive room on the 3rd floor, the room was quite large was well appointed with, with flat screen tv, free Wi-Fi , ironing board with iron, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities together with both sparkling and still bottled water. Bath robes were provided, amenities in the bathroom were also supplemented by a card offering things you may have forgotten, i.e toothpaste, razor, and other items by calling reception and I thought it was a nice touch.

The other feature of the rooms I stayed in on both occasions was the absolute sound proofing considering the closeness of the runways, also for an aircraft spotters, enthusiasts this is a paradise just opposite the take-off and landing runways, with clear views over the airport activity.

LEONARDO HOTELS INCASE YOU FORGOT 001In case you forgot what a wonderful thought.

The rooms although comfortable, and good furnishings are due for renovation next year to Leonardo standards which are certainly high and have the travellers needs in mind.

The Leonardo Hotel does have a spa offering all kinds of beauty and massages,I didn’t have the time to try this feature however here is what is on offer. Maybe next time I can tell you about the spa features

They is a good lobby area with comfortable seating and bar area, the restaurant is spacious and tables of relevant sizes to seat two or six people comfortably.

I found that Leonardo hotels out a great accent on using fresh produce and food whenever it is possible.

I have had the fish and chips with delightful minted peas on three occasions now and for the very reason they are cooked to perfection, not greasy, chips are moorish, peas delicious great portions and served on slate which is highly attractive. Then comes the toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream it certainly didn’t taste like this when I was at school, if it did I may still be at school.

I found the staff in the restaurant and the bar to both be willing and courteous making it a pleasure to eat here

The Leonardo way of doing things seems to be a great way for guests and staff alike.

I managed to meet the general manage a lady called Diane McTague also so very keen to make sure of the guests comfort, I met Saar Sharon the CEO of Leonardo Hotels at lunch one day and he told me that the Leonardo Brand would be in other key locations in UK including Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and other destinations in UK.

Leonardo Hotels have a great loyalty plan and for me they are in many cities in Europe with 100 hotels in eight countries. This year alone Leonardo opened hotels in Barcelona, Milan and of course London Heathrow Leonardo hotels for your information

I was delighted with my stays and would for sure go back again because from the top down the accent is on that rarity where they truly believe customer service is an attitude not a department.Thanks for the welcome and comfortable stay with good food what more can you need.

    We too enjoyed the Leonardo a lot.
    The second night we had dinner, my husbands steak was tough and fatty.
    We told the waiter and they took it off the bill.
    It really is about great customer service.
